2006 Supercrew KR w/102K price?

Good Day,

I'm set on a KR. I found one at a dealer for $14.5K w/102K. Looks clean 2wd, leather looks good, no dents as far as I can see online. Its the orange/brown metallic w/tan. Anything I should look out for when I go see it in person? My past experience has been with 2000 xpy w/5.4. I don't know too much about the 2004-08 models.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.
Rob

Find out maintenance history and if plugs have been changed. You need to familiarize yourself with the sparkplug issue if you do not know about it. Just so there are no surprises.

sounds like a very good price to me, like Bluejay said though, check on the plugs to see if they have been done. If they havent maybe have the dealer do it before you sign the dotted line.

Yes thats the one but I found it on autotrader.com

plugs wouldn't be too much for me. I had changed the twice before on a 2000 5.4L. Any other quirks to worry about. I thought the plug issue on the 5.4 were only on the 2V motors?

Thanks
Rob

not the same plug issue on the 04-08's as the 97-03's.

after reading the reviews of that dealer, i'd take it to a mechanic before buying it.

The truck looks pretty decent, the font seats need some loving.. The price almost really good. I would seriously take it to a mechanic and see what they say. I paid $13,500 for my 03 in 2008 with 77,000 miles on it. The plugs are not the same as on the 97-03... You need to read up on the site on the spark plug problem.

KR in Houston area

Thanks for the feedback and if anyone know of any KR in the Houston area please let me know. Budget is to stay under 15K.

I'm open to the 01-03' models. More $$ i come under 15K the more I have to spend on goodies for it!
Thanks,
Rob

I bought my black 2005 4x4 supercrew KR with 85k miles on Apr 12th 2011 for 19000. I'm in NC. Original asking price was 20900. No flaws on exterior or interior.

I bought a '06 2wd w/84K.

Its copper metalic, interior is nice with exception of a couple places(mnor) on drivers side dash where tan is nicked and black is showing. Rear slide motor is gone and the little cable that pulls bottom bracket to close the glass is broke. For $15K it wasn't a bad deal compared to what I had seen locally. It has the trailer towing package, Ford bed liner, 20" KR rims.
