Another interesting thing...When we were living near South Padre we used to go to see the 'Sandcastle Days'.
One year we were intrigued to see the Welsh flag flying over one of the competitors sand sculpture. He was indeed from Wales and over here in Wales is famous for his woodcarvings... check out
