"New" King Ranch for me!

Hi all...I posted this over in the 04-present forum, but I wanted to share it over here also for any of you that might not frequent that forum...

Hi all! Just bought a 07 King Ranch to replace my 05 King Ranch that I sold. I loved my 05, but I like the 6.5' bed on the "new" one. It only has 9000 miles, and it came with a bunch of extras (headrest DVD's, chrome grill, etc.). I really do not want the hard tonneau cover, so I may end up trying to sell it. I like them, but it is not practical for me. I also like the solid black paint, as opposed to the Pueblo Gold accent on the bottom..something a little different from the 05 I had at least. Got a good deal on it, plus it comes with a 6yr 100,000 powertrain warranty from Ford, along with the remainder of the 3/36 bumper to bumper. Here is the link to my gallery...as I know I will get blasted without posting pics

Want some ideas on mods though. I would like to do the LED lights, and I am liking the look of the smoke lenses on some members' black and gray trucks. I also am thinking about some HID lights in the black FX4 headlight housings. As for wheels, I might go with some lift and Diamo 17 Karats. Opinons?

Um... how is this possible? As far as I know, a King Ranch has never been rolled out of a factory without the two-tone paint.

Did the previous owner paint over the gold? And what are those wheels from? A new Expedition maybe....

Not sure about the paint, but someone did mention they saw one (solid) a while back on a dealer lot. The Vehicle Information Report states under "Installed Option Information" that the paint is "PNUAA-Ebony Solid C/C" I can figure out the C/C as clear coat, but I don't know what, if anything PNUAA means. The sheet also says the truck came with the 20" wheels, but I don't know if they are the originals or not. It was built in March of 2007, and sold to the first owner in March of 2008, so it may have been a dealer driven vehicle. It had 2,538 miles in Nov of 07 when it was brought in for a warranty check regarding a failed load test on the battery. It would make sense with the options, add ons, and somewhat low milage that a dealer was driving it for a while. It would be cheap for them to get the lower painted, the chrome wheels, and the other items which may be dealer installed. Either way--had a nice clean Carfax, and a clean Oasis report so I am happy.

TINT the front windows. It will look awesome on your KR. I have a black 2008 KR with front tinted windows.

I need to haul a toolbox, and occasionally, some oversize items. So I will be losing it all together. Window tint will be installed this week or next for sure.

Nice truck. Interesting configuration. Looks like either someone really wanted to make their truck different with monochromatic paint and bumpers and Expedition rims, or someone actually added a bunch of King Ranch goodies to a Lariat truck. I'm thinking the Lariat to KR conversion would be cheaper than buying a KR and reworking it. In aney event, it looks good.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that a little paint on the bottom, a trade with someone for the Expy rims (truck originally came with 20s) and a billet grill would be MUCH cheaper than converting to King Ranch leather, including a King Ranch logo on the speedometer. I had an 05, so I am pretty sure someone just added the extras. Especially if the owner of the dealership or a sales manager was driving it around...Expy rims would be fairly easy to come by.

Nice truck. The link you posted to your gallery is not right. Your camera icon is wrong, too.

Here is your gallery http://www.f150online.com/galleries/....cfm?gnum=5539

You have the number 16668 in there. Your gallery number is 5539. Your album is 16668. You need to put the gallery number in your option for the camera icon to work.

Here is your album: http://www.f150online.com/galleries/....cfm?num=16668
