2001 KR Seats -- The Plastic Clip on the Back of the Seat

I had an email from someone over the weekend asking about the clip that holds the saddle bag portion of the rear of the seat together with the side panel of the seat...

For those of you that don't know about this part, it's a simple hinge type of latch that postively/negatively holds the two portions together...

Anyway, I've lost your email....

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about and it's pretty well documented somewhere here in the KR forum as MANY of us had problems with it. Mine came apart more times than I can remember but, I always managed to get them back together --

I will say that it typically took some love and some effort but, they do go back together....

If you will, sir... please email me back and I'll try to help out more. I'm very sorry about the email problem -- I'm setting up a new cell phone and, in the process, have deleted a few emails that I meant to hang on to...

SORRY!!!

Sorry about that, John. It doesn't happen very often. This was the only way I knew how to get a hold of whoever had emailed me that question. Again, I'm sorry... Ahh, the joy of technology, eh?

Glad to hear that you got it back together. Like you, many of us had to learn it the hard way (gymnastics included as well). It's really not that difficult of a contraption but, it can be a booger to bring it back together. Those of us who had or have a 2001-2003 KR can certainly relate to having to hold your nose just right and having to stand on one foot while reciting the abc's backwards to make it come together...

Glad it worked out!
