Did We Lose Copper?

I noticed there is a new color for the 2008 King Ranches called Mohagony. I was wondering if it replaced the Copper, which is my favorite color of any color available. It's mouth-watering...

Did we lose the Copper? The new Mohagony is too purple-ish for me...

Mohagony=Too brown for me...

If we lost Copper, then

I have an 07 copper KR. Tired of seeing every other F150 in Texas with the same color as me.

Yeah, you lost Copper. I, on the other hand, gained Mahogany. I was the biggest Copper fan for years, but then they discontinued it on the King Ranch F-150's. I was depressed. I only ordered the Mahogany because I wanted a color offered ONLY on a King Ranch... to set it apart and stand out. I was even skeptical while it was on order. After receiving the truck last week, all I can say is WOW! The color is not that dark, unless there is no sunlight on it. It is really deceiving. Not Copper, but not Brown. Look in my gallery for the range of colors it shows. In my sig, it's almost black (not quite). I have started getting alot of compliments and people ask what color it is because it is very uncommon around here. I sure hope it doesn't become a common Expedition color, too.

That will never happen...

Damn...

Smokewagun, your truck is incredible. Your old Super Duty was a little on the purple side, too, though. No offense intended, of course. I guess the Mahogony will have to grow on me... I did like the Chestnut, after all.

I doubt any color will stay a model exclusive. They will put it on another model but call it something else. The original Estate Green from the 01's was called Spruce when put on Expeditions.

The original 2001 Chestnut Brown was also called Autumn Brown on a Ford van...

Chestnut, in my opinion, remains as the best looking color that has been sprayed on a KR.

Does anyone else see the vulgarity in the above statement?

Thanks! The Superduty was purple-ish (no offense), but this Mahogany is reddish-brown. I know my signature looks real dark, but this color is neat because of the chameleon colors it shows depending on light. Outside the window in the clouds today, it looks like the Chestnut mentioned, only slightly darker... kind of like the color offered on the early Excursions. This day at noon, in the bright sunlight, it looked almost like Dark Copper. Many times, I look at the ARE lid and think it doesn't match, but the slightest change in plane makes the color reflect light and lighten up, while the panel next to it looks darker. I still think it would have looked better with Arizona Beige, but Ford had to bring back GOLD. Overall, even though I was highly skeptical when I ordered it, I am very happy with the color. The only other color I would have considered in a King Ranch was the Copper. The green, black, white, etc. all look great to me as well, but I just wanted to have a color only uniuge to the Ranch.

(Otherwise I would have gone with White _)

Well I suppose I'll have to get used to it, 'cause it replaced my favorite color of any color ever created.

I'm sure it'll grow on me.

This looks more like Copper than Mahogony to me. Could we be seeing a return of Copper in the '09s?

Absolutely beautiful.

I've seen the same video on a different screen and it is red. I wonder if it is actually "copperish" or red. I think this King Ranch stuff is a sickness... I may have to go with another KR next year again when I trade. Although, I love this one so much, it may take alot for me to want to trade at 50-60k - especially if I have to go down to a dreaded "Lariat".
