2001 Tailgate badge?

I picked up the 2001 KR today. Rides great. gonna let the shop check it out real close on Tuesday morning.

The tailgate KR badge was missing. The F150 badge is there, but the KR logo is gone. Where can I get another one and how is the best way to stick it on?

They often appear on EBay, and good quality double sided adhesive tape will do the trick. (The thicker, slightly 'spongy' type)

I checked there first. I did not se any, but i might not have searched correctly.

Early production KR's did *NOT* have the flat King Ranch tailgate emblem... I know this because my 01' didn't have it.

Do a tidbit of searching here in the KR forum and you'll find the KR Badge part number. It *is* different than the fender badge in that it's flatter...

Price is around $25 (maybe more now -- that was a 2003 post that I dug up).

It *will* mount into the same mounting holes that the F150 emblem mounts in to...

Careful removing your old one... you can scratch the paint pretty easily and the new KR tailgate badge won't conceal the scratches.

I would suggest using heat and fishing line to gently remove it... again, a quick search for "tailgate emblem" or the part number above in the KR forum only will yield some great info... this was covered pretty well about 5 or 6 years ago..

I started with this... that is a fender badge trimmed of the 'F150' portion and then 'stuck' to the paint above the F150 emblem that you speak of...

Then I went to this...
