Recommended Tire Pressure...
I have the factory 20" wheels with the factory Pirelli Scorpion tires on a 2007 KR 4x4.
I thought I had read somewhere within this site that there are different air pressure recommendations but I can't find the thread.
We're about to head out for a Christmas road trip and want to get the best mileage possible...
Thanks for your help-

The sticker in the door...
Says 40PSI and then when the tires were rotated at Ford for the truck's 6K service, they inflated them to 44. I asked the tech and he told me "personal preference" with anything between 40 and 48PSI.
I am just trying to gather as much information from people who may know from their experience.
I'll look elsewhere if all I am going to receive are responses that don't help.

UmmKay....wow, there is an HSO for ya.
Well, I'll offer my "experince"
Read the manual then review and understand the door jam recommendations.
It also depends on the tires you run.
Another place to seek elsewhere is in the "Tires and Wheels" section of F150online.
I also suspect that your retort was probably not as harsh as it came across but remember this is a forum to get help and you ALWAYS get better responses if you take a few min to post as much detail in your question as possible and utilize the search feature that the forum offers.

Man I love when new guys come on and pop off. Anyway, I guess your pop off is pretty minor. Go with the door jamb. I put the 20's on my truck and both Ford and two tire dealers advised to stay with what's recommended on the car. Just to check, I put 'em (Pirellis) at 40 and then 44lbs. The ride changed enough going to the 20's but at those pressures it was teeth rattling. I don't really know how cold it gets where you live, but I can be in the teens in the mountains, and will notice a flat spot on these tires if it's very cold out. I've heard they don't do it as much with more air, but regardless, the flat spot evens out after a few minutes.

I've been running 40 lbs in my 20 scorpions, but the max pressure says 44 on the tire. I want to run them at around 35 or 36 for a tank then run them around 42 or so and see what the gas mileage difference is. I just ordered new tires for mine to be put on next week. Our ford dealer matched tire racks price; which surprised me a little since they were asking almost 60 dollars more a tire! Anyway I may try that when I get the new Scorpions put on.
