New brakes pedal still spongy. help please.
Hello everyone. I replaced the rear drum brakes and front pasngr. Disk brake ( pads, Caliper And rotor) I Know You're Supposed To Do Both Sides But I Just Couldn't Afford Both Sides And I Need To He Able To Drive. Anyway, I replaced all that in my '99 f150, bled the system About 8 Times WITH The Truck Started And Off. Both time both ways the pedal gets hard and nothing but fluid streams from the bleeders. But for some reason my pedal will not stay hard. There are no leaks anywhere and I replaced the MC about two months ago (yes I bench bled it). What could be causing this problem? Please any ideas will help this is driving me insane.

Hello all. This would be my first post on pretty much any site ever, I think...
Anyway, I just purchased a 2003 F150 Lariat 5.4L 4x4. Had the same issue. After three trips to dealer service shop and searching this site, determined it was the brake master cylinder. I was able to get the dealer to replace it for free due to being such a recent purchase but they're a very easy and relatively cheap dyi fix/replacement. I'm sure someone has quite a bit more knowledge on this than I, but sounds the same. Soft brakes? Pedal continues to depress when "stopped" as the truck creeps forward? Find yourself nearly rear-ending the car in front of you at the stoplight if not careful?
