Welcome, Glad to have you here!
You have certainly found the best and most up to date information on a F150, right here on the forum.
How long did they say it was going to take your truck to get to you?
Thanks, the guy who bought it for me said it would arrive in ROTTERDAM(NETHERLANDS) at MAY 19th.I will probably have it here June 1st(i hope so) and then i'll have to wait round 1year to have the FRENCH certificate of title("CARTE GRISE" in French).Without that i can't drive it!!!!!I will post pics as soon as i got it believe me.
Hi bast0325.
Nice to see more F150´s in the "neighborhood"!
I ran around the first year trying to find a way to get the right amounts of 5w20 oil. Finally drove a couple 100km to talk to a Ford dealer in Germany that is able to do warranty work on US vehicles and serviced them on a daily basis. I had a hole bunch of questions for the Meister and he took his time to give me advice. One of my main questions was about the engineoil. He ensured me that a fully synthetic 5w30 is absolutely OK for a long live of the 5.4 3V and that that is all they use on those (i think it was Helix). Since Ford still gives the full warranty i assume that the reason for them to require 5w20 is not due to wear and durability but more due to fuel efficency and pollution.
Well, ever since that i´m using Mobil1 5W30 and the engine runs and sounds just great.

No i don't think i'm gonna convert to LPG,the installation is to expensive(3800 euros)
I asked in the ENGINE forum section what kind of oil i can put in my truck because i can't find any 5w20 here in FRANCE.
could you send me this oil from NETHERLANDS?
Shipping costs are to expensive from the US.
Yeah, the conversion is expensive.
It depends how many kilometers you drive, I guess.
Propane is 65 eurocents per liter here.
Mileage on propane is a bit less than on gas also.
My truck runs on gas, it has never been converted to propane also.
About the oil, I think I have 10w40 in mine.
That shouldn't be a problem.
Ask your local european ford cardealer.
I will ask the guys here with the newer models what they are using.
Meine Frau und ich haben vor zwei Jahren ein Wochenende in Straßbourg verbracht. Da wohnst du aber in einer wunderschönen Stadt! Wir leben zwischen Koeln und Aachen.
I would reply in french, but since its 20 years ago that i had it in school, i better don´t even try . There is a quite big US Carscene in the area of Cologne and Aachen. Once i hear about some events i´ll let you know.
Hope waiting time is not getting to long for you, i remember i had to wait one week to get the truck registered and it must have been the longest seven days of my live...
I saw an '02 or '03 supercrew with Austrian tags here in town yesterday...
I'm glad there are F-150's all over the place it's great to have the "import" for a change, sure sucks about the whole registration thing and light modifications i'd love to see some pics of your truck...
