I am looking to replace the cloth seats in my xlt and found a nice pair of leather seats out of a 97. The only problem is my current seats have the seat belt attached to the seats and the new seats have them mounted to the door. My question is, is it possible to either add the seat belt to the new seats or move the seat belts and attach them to the door frame?

 

Extended cab set belts go up to the roof, hangs down on about a 1' tether near where the doors overlap.

Not sure if they can be swapped or not. I'd pull down the headliner and see if you have a big threaded boss in the roof structure
