Im looing to get rid of my folding seat in the center and exchange for a center console that is just the box with 2 cup holders kind of free standing...first question I have anyone got pictures... second im guessing the new center console would use the same 4 bolts? and third is there diffrent seats to acomidate that center console?(im thinking there is maybe arm rests on those seats and obviously my seats dont have arm rests will this look not good?)

 

And would a 09 or 10 center console work? because I know that those seats dont have a arm rest as the center console is taller

 

OK 1st just to poke a little fun at your title there. 60/40/60 that equals 160% there man...those are some big seats. Its actually 40/20/40, lol. Back to seriously, I believe there is a freestanding console in the XLT's and I think it does bolt in the same holes as the jump seat does. As for seats Ford doesn't put armrests on any of them anymore, you have to put your arm on the door and console for a rest. So your driver and passenger seats are the same as the one in a truck with the consoles.

I believe I've read elsewhere that someone did the swap for the center console that the XLT comes with. I've got the center console in my XLT, I love it.

I believe they mentioned that the same 4 bolt's where used, I can't remember offhand, so you'd have to search the forums

 

I want to do this same swap but I need the grey/dark grey and most of the affordable ones on ebay are the browns. Did you complete this, how did you make out?
