steering wheel
you can find instructions for removing and installing a steering wheel at this link http://www.craftcustoms.com/pages/Re...ng%20Wheel.htm. They also reupholster steering wheels in leather for around $200

$200? Ouch! I think it would be cheaper to just replace the wheel. It only cost me $145 for one with cruise control on it from Tasca parts, although I do have a 2005 model 150. Was real easy to replace on mine, just make sure you disconnect the battery before removing it to keep the air bag from accidently deploying.

Its very unsafe to mess with the Airbags by yourself without the proper tools.
All I can say is BE CAREFULL and never point the bag at yourself while removing or transporting

You'll need a 2-jaw puller (e.g. Craftsman 46905) and Torx T50 bit.
Removal is pretty easy.
First disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute to allow the depletion of the restraints system backup power supply.
Remove the small plastic gaps on the back of the steering wheel, then remove the two bolts which hold airbag on its place.
After that you can lift air bag and disconnect the connectors from clockspring.
Then loose up the bolt with T50 torx bit. Finally use the 2-jaw puller to remove the wheel.
Install is reverse procedure.
You can get stock F150 steering wheels e.g. from eBay:

By adding a Wheelskin Leather cover will improve your grip:

I replaced my stock steering wheel with Lightning wheel (in this case you have to replace clockspring and airbag as well).
