Exclamation HELP! Rain inside the cab!

Ok so last night I was bbq'n and have been needing to redo my niteshades on my 3rd brake light so I thought it's a nice night and while I'm waiting for the chicken to cook I'll go ahead and sand em down and throw on another coat, and let it dry overnight.

All is good untill I wake up this morning around 10 a.m. and it's pouring has been since about 7 or so when my wife told me she was leaving for work. My first thought is CRAP!!!

So this morning I get the light done and go out to install it, look inside and the back seat is damp (btw I have leather) and the carpet is damp too, under the seat it's a little damp as well.

I'm not too sure what I should do as I don't think that it got too much on the inside but i'm just afraid of mold mildew stuff like that, and since the water got in from the 3rd BL should I be worried about the headliner too? Or should I just bust out the hair dryer and go to work?

You could drop the back of the headliner to inspect it. Inspect everything else too. I've used a portable heater to dry things out ,it will take too long to stand there with a hairdrier.Make sure it's totally dry !

I just thought about the BCM being back behind the seat and I just went to town earlier and when I turned the key my radar detector beeped like it was off and I had just turned it on. It usually stays on and I never turn it off. It seems like everything is ok for now just a little damp.

I had a boss once who drove a rental car through a creek, stalled it, and then filled it w/ water when he opened the door. He told me he idled it all night long w/ the heater on full and the windows open to dry it ...

Guess thats an idea lol, but I'm just not up for that. I just hope that it is sunny for the next few days, I'll just crack the windows and hope for the best. I did try to blot up some of the water with the best invention in the effin world.....a "SHAMWOW" In the several times I've used it I actually have said WOW everytime! lol It really does soak up water pretty well.
