Whiskey all over my seat?? Help.

So I went to the liquor store with my roommates yesterday and on the way back my bottle of whiskey broke so now there is 1.75l of Jim Beam all in my rear passengers seat and I tried soaking most of it up with water and a towel then using lots of febreeze and resolve carpet cleaner. So then when I get in to go to class this morning it still smells really strong..a subtle aroma of whiskey would be pleasing at eight in the morning but it is STRONG. Any have any ideas what I should do or what I could use to try to get his out? cause right now my interchanging of mossy oak air fresheners could get quite expensive in the long run.

Man, talk about a party foul. I would get your hands on a steam cleaner with some cleaning solution ASAP to try and get it out. Hopefully you don't get pulled over anytime soon, it will be tough to explain that one with the strong smell of whiskey in your truck.

Take the seat out and use a good mini steam cleaner carpet machine. I've got a little green machine made by bissel, it's perfect for vehicle cloth and carpet cleaning.

Long story short, a ziplock bag full of Fish steaks bust in my floorboard, coating all my passenger front side carpet with mackerel juice. I used the bissell spot bot (like the little green) mixed in some borax laundry helper with it. I took about a week but i got it all out. That borax stuff works like a champ. If i got the fish smell out, the whiskey should be a breeze.

Same thing I have and works wonders. They sell it at Home Depot for $99 bucks. I also use a product called Folex spot and odor remover that my wife turned me on to and it has gotten every stain and smell I put it against out.

Edit: BTW dump the Jim and go with Jack!

I still cant decide if which im more mad about whiskey spilling in my seat and not being able to drink it or the fact that I have to go back today and buy more. Ill give that steam cleaner a shot and hope it does the trick.

I may have missed it, but do you have cloth or leather seats?

Sucks to hear man at least it was only Jim. I dropped a litre of Jameson one morning before an early tailgate and it was so depressing to see it on the ground.

Back to the cleaning I think a good steam cleaning should work. It gt alot of stiff out of my seats over the summer. You can rent a rug doctor at heb and get the handle attachment for about 30 bucks

hahahahahahahaha...Sorry this is a little off topic but I got the reply in my inbox and when I read it and saw heb was mentioned I said to myself "this guy has to be from Texas" and sure enough you are. I lived in Texas for 10 years and after leaving and moving up to the northeast I would always refer to my local grocery store as heb and people would look at me like a retard....lol...just had to mention that. Been awhile since I have been back to Texas for a visit.

to help with the problem...

you should be more mad about the fact you didn't drink it. Going back for more should always be pleasant.
