Dogs in the backseat?

Anyone fold their seats up and put full size dogs back there? We have two Golden Retrievers and i want to be able to put them in the back seat and have them just sit/lay/stand back there. Just wondering if there is enough room for that in the back seat? Will be purchasing a 07-08 four door crew cab only, probably something with leather so i dont think i want them all over the seats, i know they are going to give the door panels hell.

While you are looking at trucks, compare the back seat room in the '09-'10 to the '07-'08 - plus look at the flat floor vs non-flat for your dogs.

I completely removed the lower portion of the bench seat in my Supercab. Now the 3 huskies sit on the floor. No falling off the seat and more room than either on the seat or with seat folded. There was more room in the seat than with the seat folded.

My boxer puts his feet on the back seat and his fronts on the middle seat up front when it's folded down. He thinks he's the king of the truck. When he gets bored of that he lays down in the back seat.

I have a 35lb Am Staff/Mix who loves the back seat. I have a supercab and leave the seats down (subs under the seat make it pointless to fold them up). The black leather is holding up extremely well to her claws and chewing of treats when on road trips. She usually lays down for a long ride but will sit behind the passenger or driver's seat, ocassionally walking from window to window to look out.

I've got a big lab/shep mix that would fit in the super crew just fine with the seats up. Dog hair clean up was another story though....

Well, my '09 with the huge back seat area and flat floor was just what I needed to haul my buddy - a 210# English Mastiff - just didn't work with a SuperCab!

i have a beagle (yes i know smaller than most of the breeds mentioned so far) and my wife bougth me a seat cover from pepboys. it cost $13.00 and is made of the same material as a carhartt jacket. and to insure it a little more she went to a fabric store and bought a few yards of denim. seeing as how i have a king ranch with leather seats it was pretty important to protect them. the dog seems to love it and sits right in the middle looking out the front window.

oh yeah, the seat cover is also waterproof.

My lab loves it in the back of my Screw! I just put the seat up and she does what she wants. Beats the hell out of her squeezing into the back of my 4 dr. Ranger. As for the fur, my wife bought me a sponge like thing that works wonders, but b4 that I just used a wet rubber glove. Just brush in across the fur and it will ball it up into a pile. Works great! Give it a try.

I upolstered my center console so the dog can sit in the back and if she wants to put her paws on the console it wont get damaged..plus I like the look.

With just 1 dog I only fold up one side to make access easier.
