Disassembling a jumpseat

Guys -

I have an '07 XL. I just bought a jumpseat with armrest storage (thanks, Sniper!) to replace the one I have that doesn't have storage. Because the replacement seat is cloth and my existing seats are vinyl, I'd like to try swapping out just the fold-down armrest to keep the mis-matching to a minimum.

Have any of you made this swap? How hard is this gonna be?

Thanks!

The bottom section of the seat comes off with just a little bit of pulling up underneath it. Just pull straight up from the front. If you received a full jumpseat with the frame and all you can just swap the old bottom section to the new frame.

Is it safe to assume this would be easier to do with the seat mounted in the truck?

Update: This probably wasn't the easiest way to do this, but I ended up removing the backrest and its mounting bracket from the frame of the seat and swapping them out that way. There are four bolts on each side - a small bolt, a 15mm bolt that holds the seatbelts on, and two 13mm bolts. They are not TOO hard to get to.

The gray cloth seat back blends surprisingly well with the gray vinyl. And since the seat part is still vinyl, it really doesn't look weird at all. I'm happy to have my storage back.
