hey man, i was planning on doing this too, you are saying you used krylon gloss black for the whole thing? i wonder what you used to paint the area above the glove compartment(where the airbag is at) and the rubbery area around the dash. if you used krylon on that isnt the handle to close the door and steering wheel the same material?

So you used Gloss black but its better to go with Satin Black your saying Correct so it doesnt have that much shine? What kinda prep work did you do besides masking things off (Sanding ne thing or no)? Also did you remove anything to paint it then put it back in or was everything masked off with newspaper

Edit: How is it holding up after that you have done it? Ne thing starting to peel or come off in certain areas or no? How many coats did you do to each part

Ya I would use satin black and the only prep work I did was clean everything with soap and water to get grease and fingerprints off. So far it's holding up good but I need to put a clear coat on it soon

i would take the dash out, it's not that hard. i could have a dash out in 2hrs top. ALWAYS use adhesion promoter when painting plastic

I am in the process of doing this as well...well kind of. Im only wanting to paint the plastics that are on either side of the radio and the end of the dash on both sides and doors. I want to get rid of that dark grey color and leave the light grey. Im going to do a flat black. I have limo tint all around and 30% on the windsheild so I dont think I will get barely any sun reflection off of that. Is it hard or even possible to remove just those dark grey plastic pieces? (I dont want to paint in inside the truck) Also, as for type of paint and prep, I got some high heat flat black..I bought this because I figure if you can paint an engine block and it not chip or peel, maby it won't on my dash...am I correct or wwwaayy wrong lol. Im not much of a follower in the art of spray paints. and prep, I was going to go with just some soap and water..maby even a light rub down of some miracle spirits or thinner first. idk

I have 5% all around my truck and I still get bad reflection. I just used krylon fusion and I left everything in the truck and painted it just bc I couldn't figure out how to get the whole dash out
