Talking Expedition floor console

I just purchased a 2001 f-150 regular cab and want to upgrade my center floor console. Will an expedition console fit in my truck. I have bucket seats. The console that it has is nice, but it could look a lot better!

Welcome to the site - - it's a fantastic source for info on your F-150.
There is a wealth of knowledge on the "center console" mod here and Steve (webmaster) has a great search engine. Here are some excerpts from previous threads. I know, you have a regular cab .... do a search and you'll find info on that as well. Best of luck - - you'll love the mod!!

I purchased a 98/99 Expy center console from LWM in Norman OK(405-360-7998). Cost was $89.00 plus shipping. Installation was relatively easy. LWM included two adapter/ mounting brackets that attach to the Expy console and allow you to use the F-150 (super crew)bolts. With the 98/99 center console, the captain's chair arm rests are fully functional. A note for those with a six disc Cd changer mounted in the center console: I had to order a Cd changer insert mount for the 98/99 console from my Ford dealer - - cost about $24.00. Also had to drill a new hole (lower than the existing hole) to run the cable to the CD changer. Everything you ever wanted to know about this is on www.f150online.com . Go to Message Boards... then Search .... Search by user name .... "blueflareside" or "FedExPilot". . Best of luck - - you'll like the mod in your F-150.

What year is that console, because that is the exact console that I want? Would they have one to match my dark graphite interior?

As the post above said ...."I purchased a 98/99 Expy center console from LWM in Norman OK(405-360-7998). Cost was $89.00 plus shipping". Call LWM for availability of grey console. Best of luck .....

I have an Expy center console I purchased from LMW so that I could put a sub-woofer in it. I've since decided not to. I would be willing to sell it for $50.00 + shipping.

And yes, it will fit in your truck.

E-Mail me at dtm1@charter.net and I'll give you all the details.

FWIW, there are 2 grey consoles.

There's the very common medium graphite one. It looks like the one in FedExPilot's pics, but grey (i.e. the top is dark and the sides are light).

There is also a dark graphite one that is all dark, I'm pretty sure that you can get this one in the '99 style but you might have to look around for it. They were most common on the "XLT Sport" model that had the body colored grill.

And a list of mods that will have me busy (and broke!) for months!

FedExPilot,

Thanks for giving everyone the info on the Expy consoles! I was on vacation last week and this seems to be a hot topic again! Links of pictures of my console are in my signature.
