Question Is there a way to touch up dash scratches?

I've got a couple of minor scratches in the hard plastic part of my dash around the light switch. Is there any way to touch them up? Thanks.

Thumbs up

They do not make such a thing, but there are vinyl repair companies that specialize in
repairing dashes and trim panel's .Best place to call is a Body shop most will have a person they deal with as it is quite common to have interior trim panels damaged in accidents,I work the insurance corporation of british columbia as a damage appraiser ,we deal w/ this all the time .Usually minor repairs are around $65 cdn and go up from there .
1 suggestion is after 1 is recomended to you by a shop check out some of the repairs they have done if you can as some repairers are far better than others ,hope this helps

I have a couple of small scratches where the dark brown color has been scratched off and there is black beneath. I was wondering if Ford has a paint to touch it up since it is just painted in the first place. This is on the hard plastic not on the vinyl.

I used some testors model paint and played around til I got the right shade. Then I just painted it on with a brush. Use flat paint,it looks better. The dark brown is mostly black and white with a few drops of red, The red goes a long!
way! Have patience, and it'll work great,I can't even remember where I touched it

p.s. The military colors make the mixing easier.....they're closer to the correct colors.
and adding gloss black with flat colors
seems to give the right semi-gloss sheen
have fun,,,,98

Remove a correct color piece of dash plastic (ash tray) and take it to an auto parts or hardware co. that mixes thier own paint with a computer scan. They can match perfectly only problem is you may have to buy a pint of paint.

Question

Flatlander,

Can you buy the interior spray paint from Ford at your local dealer?

I will be stopping by there this week if so.

Thanks,
Steve

Question

I'm not sure. Sorry. My wife got my paint when the company she worked for went out of business this summer. I've got several different colors of grays, but I know you can buy interior spraypaint at many body shop supply stores. I'd bet that a Ford dealer would have it.

Lightbulb

I've got several cans of Ford Interior Spray Paint to fix mine. I just spray a little in the lid and touch up the spots with a small brush
