I just picked up and installed a set of these and I'm wondering how much you had to adjust these to reduce the amount of glare they produced. Haven't seen mine at night yet so I don't know if I need to adjust them or not. Set screw has not been moved.

If you install themhow they come out of the box, and your truck isn't lifted/ leveled, you shouldn't have to do anything.

Depends on the model. H13 for 04-14 F150s are dual.

 

so on leds how do you want the bulb positioned? horizontal or vertical ? maybe a pic of how bulb should look installed

 

Diodes at 3 and 9 o'clock with the shield on the bottom facing up. This brand from 4x4truckleds should come positioned correctly out of the box with no adjustment needed. Their institutions might be backwards.

 

I have a 2015 Taurus with the 9012 HIR2 bulbs and also a 2004 F150. I'd like to do a retrofit on my Taurus but hell you've got me curious on these. Any feedback on a new Taurus yet? I'm interested

 

Are they regular reflectors or projectors? I do think you'd like these. I was extremely skeptical at first, but they don't give off terrible glare and they are brighter than halogens. So I do like them a lot.

I can see better in my truck at night then al the other newer vehicles I drive.

 

Hard to beat HIRs tho with PNP. 2300 lumens with HIRs. Granted the LEDs boast more. But retrofit would be the most output. But most expensive.

 

They are OEM projectors. I think they're pretty good, but I'd love more light for sure. I have done research and Philips makes the only HIR2 now and it's the standard. It IS the only option from what I found. It's already the best of that, but I'd be curious to try these. I know they'd be an improvement in the truck, the my Taurus is the daily and I use the lights all the time. I've been thinking about a retrofit, but I'd like to try these I think since they're significantly cheaper and PNP. Looks like your brand is street glow and they do sell the 9012 on their website. $175

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Again, the diodes at 3 and 9 o'clock with the shield under the diode facing up.

Did you buy from 4x4truckleds?

Edit: I see you bought some cheap $30 eBay LEDs. I can't help you with those. But I'd recommend you return them and get a better set. The ones you bought don't have a cut off shield and are going to blind oncoming traffic.

 

Looks very nice man. I'm interested in doing this to a couple of my cars now. I like the 2013 oem projectors but every time an audi or newer GM vehicle pulls up my oems loo yellow and tired.
