32" led light bar (lots of pics)

here are some picks just installed (updated my lighting) I got rid of some fog lights I had in my grille also removed some hella driving lights in vavor of an led light bar I have it wired to the fog light wires and modified switch so I can turn them on in any position

a little while back I installed some 55w 10,000k hid lights also

I like the new look a whole lot better and that light bar is like turning on the sun

Looks good.
Please tell me tho you don't plan on driving around with those on when you are with other traffic, your HIDs are bad enough, but dang that light bar is bright!

Hi.

Gonna be honest here. The bar looks good, but those heads have to go.

You can actually outperform that bar with a proper HID projector retrofit. And have a far wider, uniform and glare-free beam pattern.

10,000K has significantly less output (as actually usable by human vision) than 4300K-5000K. And the ballasts are going to be well under the advertised 55W. This is all well-documented within the links provided.

Same advice as I gave this feller: https://www.f150online.com/forums/il...0-fx-4-sc.html

Just sayin' - don't get bent. Check out TRS fer yerself.

no way would I drive around with the light bar on I would expect I would get a ticket or cause a wreck in no time at all

just like with the hella lights I only used them when I was in the mountains camping or on back roads with no other traffic etc.

as for the hids I went with 10,000k because I like the blue look they do offer far better light than the stock bulbs I know im not getting the full benefit but I like the look.

I know some people like the blue lights some don't personal preference

Hi.

Not arguing here - but that's debatable (and in point of fact it's been solidly disproven by measurments).

Perception is a difficult thing to overcome- as is too much foreground light - which you have - appearing to be brighter, were as in fact what is occurring is it is causing your eyes to lose acuity at further distance due to pupil constriction. I'm NOT making this up

And it is precisely the wavelength that gets absorbed by water, so in raining conditions you are going to get even less.

Again - when you have the chance, peruse the info I linked to. You already have heads that are retrofit-friendly (clear lenses).

I'm not the lighting police, so no worries.

Good to know. Just wanted you and others to be safe.

Honestly if you wanted the blue look you shoulda went 6000k or 8000k. You woulda retained some of the lumens of the HIDs.
Just a helpful tip for next time.

Yes, tho a retrofit would get the full benefit from the HIDs with zero glare.

I love the bumper. Is it a one-off/home-made or from a company?

If I had that body style truck, I'd want to commission you to make me one! I'm so picky about that type of bumper and yours looks great and aside from not recognizing it, I can't tell it wasn't mass produced.

Really interested in the LB seeing as it was only 130 smackers!

Looking forward to the light output pictures .... also how the light holds up like condensation and whatnot
