Ok, I hope y'all understood that title

Pretty much, what I wanna know is where in the heck can I find the LED bulb that would replace the ugly, dim, non-bright OEM reverse light that comes in the 04-08 F150 HELLA Led Tailights?? The OEM one has got to go A.S.A.P. I can barely see anything behind me while backing out.

I've researched threads and seen it done already, but no one has actually gave a actual part #! I'll be ordering from V-LEDS.com or whoever makes the bulb to replace the OEM.

The reverse bulb should be a 3156.....

Instead of trying to rely soley on a led bulb you might want invest in a cheap set of fogs with a relay to be used in addition to them.....mount the fogs up under the bumper.....

 

Yea, that sounds ideal but I just mainly wanna replace the OEM one. Thats really all I wanna do.

Yeah the 3156 incandescent bulb will generally be brighter than most LEDs out there unless you get into the triple digit range. If you are good with soldering electronics, my plan is to put a single 3W Luxeon Star Rebel @ 150lm in each reverse lamp. Of course you need a puck driver and heat sink, but it would be pretty close to being on par with reverse fog lamps.
