I have an 01 screw 4.6L. The ac is quiet cold, but after it gets hot (drive home from work 25 miles) its making a pretty loud noise (can hear outside truck) Turn off (clutch disengaged no noise) compressor running noise present. Its not a rattling or clicking noise. I check it in the morning and its quiet as a lamb. I'm assuming compressor.
