EATC, steering wheel buttons, and vent questions
Hello everyone. This is my first post, so please don't bash too hard. I've searched and come close to answering my questions but not 100%.
I just purchased a 2007 lariat 2wd, and noticed that although the air conditioning was cold it would only blow out the defrost position. Although from time to time it will decide to blow out the vents until it just switches back to defrost vents on its own. The HVAC controls on the steering wheel also do NOT work, but cruise and radio are fine. And the HVAC head unit display works fine, except the lights do NOT illuminate at night.
I'm wondering if I have a head unit problem? Or possibly multiple problems like blend door, actuator, head unit, and steering wheel problems?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
I will try to do a self diagnosis on the head unit this week sometime.
Thanks.

It's likely an issue with the EATC unit, the diagnostics will help identify what's going on.
I posted the specifics for your truck in this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...-c-issues.html
That poster never returned to update what was going on, though.
