My 05 truck heater will only blow air out of the window defrost vents no matter what vents are slected. The system is the manual type. Any one have an idea?

 

Wonder if it could be that 'door' up in the dash that people sometimes have to
get replaced.

 

Search Blend door. Defrost is the default position.

 

Could be a vacum issue as well. My expd had a similar issue, and found a vacum leak at the firewall.

 

i will check both the blend door issue and for a vacuum leak. thanks guys. I will let you know what I find.

 

well the 2005 does not have vacuum lines for it and i change the blend door actuator. THAT was not the problem. Does any one know the location of the motor that moves the actuator that moves the door to position the part on the drivers side next to the gas pedal. it moves freely with my finger and that will make the air flow through diff vent depending on were i rotate it to??
