heater core '97 f150

how tough is it to replace my heater core in a '97 f150 v/8 auto,a/c? just bought it and it smeels alfull. Thanks all, newbe here and this board is GREAT!!

The whole dash has to be removed to access the heater core.Ford charges 8-10 hours labor.A member here has a very good how-to with pictures.

Had to do it last may on my 97 4.6 lots of work but just remember where everything goes when you put it back together and you'll be fine.
