I have an '02 supercab, 4.6 and live where it is hot and humid. The temp reading when i got in my truck: 104 on the in-vent meat thermometer
The duct output air in my truck got to 42 deg. farenheit today according to the meat thermometer temp gauge. Outside air temp 94 degrees farenheit, about 55% humidity. That only took 5-10 minutes with the a/c on max and driving in town about 40 mph.
I also have dual 16" electric fans, and one kicks on when the a/c is on. The above conditions were with only one fan on. The truck feels like an ice box within 15 minutes.

The electric fans seam like a good idea, my brother in law has an '05 Ram crewcab?( whatever Dodge calls it), it has a seperate electric fan mounted in front of the condenser coil that's off to the side of the radiator. His A/C works significantly better than mine
