Clunk noise on recirc door

Hello,

I have just fixed the grinding noise coming from blend door following the instructions of TSB 08-08-09 and the noise is gone as expected;... but still remains the clunk noise coming from the recirc door (behind the glove box and when I press the recirc button), does exist a TSB for this?, can I fix it if some grease is added on the door?, what is the procedure for it?

I will really appreciate any advise.

I own a SuperCrew Lariat ´06 4X4

Thank you very much.
Jesus L.

I have this noise to. As far as I'm aware there is no TSB for this. This is on my list of "to do" things but it has fallen back just because the recirc still works and I can live with it, I have more pressing issues with the truck right now......... What I think the issue is is that foam on the door has fallen off, just like what happened to my mode door I fixed a month ago.

Anyway, I plan to drop the fan blower assembly, because I believe that you can reach the recirc door from this area. Then I wanted to take some felt and line the area where the recirc flap closes. I am going to use the felt side of industrial strength velcro.

If you get to this before me, let me know how it goes! Good luck.

Brian

Thank you,

Thank you Brian for your advise, yes for sure I will let you know if I fix this issue before you.

Have you dropped the fan blower assembly previously?, if you have time please give me some words of how to reach the recirc door.

Thank you,
Jesus L.

NO i never did it yet. DO a search on replacing the blower motor. FRom what I remember it's only a few bolts under the passenger dash and it will fall out. I don't know for sure if you can see the recirc door but I assume you might be able to since the door should be right by the blower somewhere.
