Check Engine Light On

i just had my truck in for repairs and had a new fuel Pump Replaced..When my truck was towed there,,My battery had died..WHen i got it back,,My mechanic told me that my CEL was on and that it was Showing HVAC Switch or something like that...THe light wasnt on when i took it in..

What would be going on with the truck if it was the HVAC Switch or something like that..

check engine light on

forgive me God for saying this, disconnect the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes ... this will kill the keep alive memory ... reinstall the cable and see if the light comes back on ... if the AC switch was on during a self test by the tech, that's what set the code ... if the light comes back on, find out the specific code and post it ... need to know what it is before a course of action can be had
