I want to get a number on this forum of how many members have had their blend doors fail or break. Call it research

I gathered that much, I was asking more what is the blend door (after posting I used the 'search' function and figured it out), and how does it break? This is the first I've heard of it.

Does it matter what year the truck is?

its the gay door that makes controls the "blend" of the air on the 97-2003 trucks...I think ford engineered a new thing for the 04 and up.

Ah, that's probably why I haven't heard of it before... Good luck!

I'm about to dig in and do mine. I've got all the instructions off of here and need to order the parts. I'm going to do the heater core at the same time, since I've had some junk in my cooling lines last time it was flushed. Don't want to have to tear out that dash again.

partsguy, I already did mine. I wasn't talking about the door part number, more the number people that have replaced them. However, I haven't got much response to this tread. About how many doors do you sale a month?

07 F150 blend door

I just wanted to reply to this thread, I have my 07 150 in to the dealer right now with blend door problems, it makes this annoying clicking sound while temp. selector is in mid position. It sounds like the blend door is loose. We'll see what the dealer does.
