How did you check the "freon level" and what was the static pressure reading?

assuming that you are correct the Freon level is OK (By bypass the Clutch Cycling switch on the Accumulator)
Then you can have a Bad Compressor relay, a bad Hi-pressure switch, a Bad compressor clutch coil or an open (broken wire or bad terminal) circuit.

His truck doesn't use a relay on the clutch. The clutch coil is switched directly by the cycling switch or disabled by the high pressure cutoff switch.

I have the r134a pro gauges. I don't remember what the reading was. I will get it this afternoon. I checked the cable, terminal looks good, no burnt spots or arch spots, also wires are not broken.

it is reading 106PSIG on both the Low and Hi side. I have replaced the clutch already and that was not it.

Your system is well charged.

You probably have an electrical problem. Disconnect the clutch cycling switch and install a jumper into the harness connector. If the clutch now engages, replace the switch. Otherwise, let us know and we'll wlak you though the circuit check.

Got it working, thanks

It was the clutch cycling switch that was bad. Thanks again for your help.

where is the "clutch cycling switch" located? I seem to have the same problem.

It screws into the top of the aluminum accumulator can mounted on the firewall, just below and towards the truck center from the plastic cover over the mega-fuses and the starter relay.

You will probably have to remove that cover and move some harnesses around to get to it.

My truck had the same issue. The clutch had worn and the air gap was too big for the electomagnetic clutch to overcome. I lapped the shim down about .030", and it's been fine for about 2 years. You will find some info on this in this forum.
