Wet carpet

My carpet is soaked. Actualy under the carpet. The A/C drain seems to be draining I can see water dripping after I shut the truck off. Any ideas? By the way it's not from rain or car washing. 06 Screw. I will go to the dealer on Friday but would like some ideas. Thanks

Your drain pipe from the evaporator housing has cracked or come off. If you do a search on this I think you'll find the problem is common.

I know this music......
06 Scab/5000 miles at time of incident
took to the dealer / under warrenty. After exploring all other possibilities..replaced evaporator twice, third brake light, windsheild,ect..numerous trips and they replaced the carpet/pad..it turned out to be the water was tracking back from the exit point of the drain on the outside of the body and into the cab where the pad would soak it up.

Tech had to remove the firewall sheild and install an elbow and silicone. It was very difficult to get the firewall back in after he installed the elbow...but as he said, it can be done.

No problem since the last fix.
I feel your pain...I wonder how many trucks have this problem as my carpet never got wet..it was the smell that got me to pull up the trim and thats when I discovered the standing water and soaked pad.

FYI- Gary Tech) at Maxwell Ford in Austin TX is the one who finally came up with the fix.

I was looking under the truck today and noticed the drain was coming straight out from the firewall.I would think it should have a 90 degree elbow comming from the drain exit down toward the ground. The way it looks is like a rubber grommet with a hole in it.
