I have a 05 FX4 Supercrew and am getting a coolant smell. Do these trucks have issues with heater cores?

Got in at the dealer checking it out with some other warrenty work.

 

Yes, your truck does have a heater core, and it sounds like it is bad. I hope for your sake it is still covered by the OEM warranty or that you have an exended warranty. If not, you could use your government stimulus check to pay for it.

 

It didn't stink up the cab for the mechanics, so they didn't do anything. I have warrenty until next April, so I'm sure I'll get it in again.

They did replace my 6cd in dash stereo due to some paint lifting off the buttons and the shift handle because it was loose.
Also finally got the rear slider rattles fixed.
Fairly satisfied.
