Hi alan,

My temp control seems to be stuck in the middle of the road. I have checked the **** so i guess it is the infamous blend door? I would appreciate a copy of your instructions as well. THANKS.

AllenT (or anyone else who has it)

I have noticed you have not been on this thread lately. Will you please send me a copy of your instructions too, as well as the rest of us? Just had my heater core replaced for the second time in 2 years. This time it costed me parts and labor $380. So if it goes out again I can save some money.

Nicholas.Vowell@state.tn.us

The guy that replaced it this time (he is a radiator specialist) said that the aluminum HC seem to corrode more easily and bust pin holes. So he said I would probably be better off with brass.

Thanks

Take a look at my first post in this thread. It now has a link to a web site where you can download these instructions.

Does anyone have any help for replacing the blend door actuator? Do you have to remove the entire heater plenum or not? It looks like 2 of the bolts for it are unaccessible if you dont remove the heater plenum box?

Also, the Ford dealership initially told me that you needed to buy the whole plenum assembly (>300$) just to get the blend door. Later they said this is not the case and you can just order the door (30$). I will post the part number for it when i get it.

Thanks

My first post in this thread has a link to the complete instructions for blend door replacement. Not sure what 2 bolts you are referring to but the entire plenum does not have to be removed. The top half of the plenum does have to be removed to gain access to the blend door. The blend door is available as a seperate item from Ford and is about $35 or so.

Thumbs up Not gonna be the same

To my good friend Alan.
Life is just not gonna be the same. Ive noticed a dramatic drop in emails already.
Since Nov of 2004 I looked forward to getting daily emails from all over the world in desperate need of 97F150 Heatercore instructions.

Ive gone back and edited all of the posts that I can think of on the four Ford F150 forums I used and added the link. Hopefully, once in a while I'll get one that sneaks through the cracks.

Thanks again for getting the link going. Scully ROCKS!

Glad I could help out.

After seeing this, I just pulled the stats :

(Figures in parentheses refer to the 7-day period ending 15-Apr-2006 20:16).
Successful requests: 130 (77)
Average successful requests per day: 12 (10)
Failed requests: 26 (16)

Average data transferred per day: 7.638 megabytes (7.489 megabytes)
Downloaded 130 times since I posted the file on the FTP server, not too bad. Look how many emails were cut out so far this month.

1999 F 150 blend door replacement instrctions?

May I also ask for a copy of the blend door instructions fix, please?
email address: brienc@vectormm.com

Also, should I go ahead and purchase a new blend door before I start disassembling the dash, or just plan to fix the old one once I get it out? In other words, are the blend doors usually able to be repaired, or do I need a new one?
Thanks for all your posts!
