When you manualy change the temp, does it change right away? Can you hear any noises when going from warm to cold? Sounds like the blend door itself is broken.

No, it doesn't go back to cold right away, sometimes it takes a couple of tries...and as for the noise, i can't hear anything when it goes from warm to cold, but when it goes from cold to warm, i'm starting to hear something like a little flap open or shut down there by the floorboard...blendoor? wierd...i don't know..

Well, it's the same job as replacing the heater core. The only way to get the door is to buy the whole EVAC case. It's also a good idea to replace the actuator and heater core while you are at it.
