Question 98 F-150 heater core connections

Well, I've got a core that's leaking big time...can anyone describe how to disconnect these so-called quick-connect hoses? I've started the job, but am already stymied. There's not much room to work...can I just pull the thing thru from the inside, then separate the hoses? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Alan

The hoses have quick-disconnect type fittings. If you look at them closely you will see two tabs sticking out from each fitting, 180 degrees apart. You have to squeeze these to release the fitting. While squeezing thes, you might try pushing on the hose a little. Good luck and hope you have small hands.
