2006 Head Unit Removal

My girlfriend's mom has an '06 F150.

The 6-disc changer is malfunctioning and constantly cycling through CDs, even when the truck is off. It's draining the battery.

How do I remove the head unit properly so I can disconnect it until we get a new one?

It doesn't have holes on each side for removal like the 97-03s did.

Thanks.

You just have to pull the trim off around the radio. Open the ashtray and start at the bottom corners. If it's never been off before, you may have to pull hard. Then work your way up to the top. Probably six or eight clips to pop out. Once at the top, disconnect any wiring harnesess from the trim and that's it.

Four screws hold the radio in.
