DON'T DO IT! Ive had the cheap dvd set up a 2006 dual flip out a 08 nesa and a 09 sound stream. sure it was cool to have a dvvd player but I always wanted just a little more either eq settings or screen settings or overall quality.

Right no ive got a f90bt a little more pricey but its everything I could ever ask for. ive seen them go as cheap as 550.

here is a brand new pioneer 3100 for $389

there are others on this site that like kenwood thats another good brand. or alpine just look around. its your money to spend how you like but i suggest you go name brand.

Pioneer 4100 can be had for around $400. Don't buy the cheapest thing out there and be dissatisfied. Save and get the real thing with a name brand.

why will i regret it later ?
has either of yall owned any of these 3 units ?
display is 1440 x 234 for a total of 336,960 pixels on all the units
even the pioneer

just tryin to find out why they are no good
or if its just not a name brand so everybody is sayin they are junk

im not gonna run amps except the stock sub
im not gonna change the speakers out
i dont want to enter into competition

i just want a back-up camera so i can see to hook up the boat/atv trailer
and a rear stock sub hook-up

i checked pioneer and ebay is not a authorized dealer
so no warranty if bought from there
and all the authorized dealers want 450+ for theirs

thx for the help

I have not had these particular brands before but have had another and been around other cheap units. The interface is ugly, screen quality is poor and grainy, the touch screen was obscure and clunky as well as slow to respond. ipod interface was far inferior on the "other" unit. EQ setting were hardly helpful or at all present. The list goes on and on.

I got my unit from Amazon and they are an authorized dealer for Pioneer. But good thinking on the warranty thing.

I guess my best compairson is like buying an XL with a 4.2 in it, it is a truck and can tow and haul, but if you want it to look good and perform better, even an STX with power options or a run-of-the-mill XLT will suit you fine by looking good and offer better power with a 4.6 or 5.4....then you can always spend more and get an FX4 or Lariet if you want sunroof, leather, nav, etc. Odd analogy but I think it makes sense.

No problem. I know I have made mistakes and seen others make them and no need for you to end up buying a headunit and hating it in 2 months, just to buy a "real" one. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. And if on a tight budget, get the 3100, a smaller screen with very similar features.
