I would go pioneer, but I am a pretty hard core pioneer fan so I may be a bit bias. They only JVC I ever had that I loved was the original El Camilion, "the one before the rotary knobs."

No navigation? I love having navigation on my unit. I'd also consider Kenwood and Alpine.

Ahh. For the price difference I would consider getting the in-dash nav. Pretty cool when the audio comes across the speakers saying turn right on Main Street. How many pennies do you have to spend on this?

x2 , been using JVCs for the last 11 years and been 100% happy with them. Have put Pioneers in the wife's and kids vehicles, just to keep things honest, and have been sorely disappointed for the money that was spent. Now I have never had a dd Pioneer, and have wanted to try one out (they do look pretty badazz), but can't justify the money for one, especially since I am happy with what I have.
