2003 Supercrew Double DIN install?

First off, thanks for checking my post, but was able to get the search tool to work and found the threads I was looking for... I will post a install thread when I finish....

thanks again.

First will it work? second, what mods are needed as crutchfield tells me that they kits are not offered for the 2003 year....

They guy explained it to me where you have to drill some holes to mount the unit.... what am I drilling into ??? is there a depth problem? was hoping someone had already done this and could provide pictures... I have waited long enough for them to come out with an install kit for the 03s.

Thanks a bunch.

Looking to install a reccommended DVD nav system...

97-03 F150 Double Din Installation Guide

they wont make an install kit for a double din in an 03 because you have to modify the truck to make it work and the kits are made for cookie cutter installs

If your looking for Nav mainly, get a kenwood with the garmin interface.
