I have an expedition with an eclipse ecd-415. It is an older unit from the late nineties, but it works great. Or used to work great until my battery died. That sent the unit into security mode. It takes a cd to unlock it. Well the previous owner used a very obscure cd as the security cd so when I needed it, I could not find it. I tried to burn it from itunes but that did not work. So I have been driving around in that vehicle without tunes for a long time now. Well I'm at the mall today, low and behold I found the cd that I needed..........the goo goo dolls for cryin out loud. Well I bought the used cd for five bucks, but it will not work becuase the system is permanently locked. I called eclipse and they told me that I only had 2 tries before it permanently locks. Can I unlock this myself ?
