How do I get this Pioneer DEHP5800 out!?

Guys, I have a strange head unit problem. I think its a short but im not sure.

Heres the scenario: The head unit (Pioneer DEHP5800MP) keeps loosing power intermittently. If I remove the instrument bezel and "wiggle" the harness(etc) then it comes back on.

Heres the thing that has me scratching my head: Sometimes the stereo will have power until I turn off the truck and then turn it back on and it has obviously lost power because it is back in demo mode and lost all of its presets, or sometimes it wont have power at all after I turn the truck back on.

I just dont get it.. If its a short.. I can see the intermittness of losing power and getting it back. I just dont understand the "has power" until truck is turned off and then it loses power.

BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST.. I NEED TO GET THE DAMN HEAD UNIT OUT to find out the problem...
It doesn't have the key holes like stock stuff (the u-shaped wires) for removal.

Anybody have any ideas? Any special tool needed?

Chris

you just need something that will fit in this slot on both sides thats about 3-4 inches long. if you know someone else with a pioneer deck or have a shop close by that sells em then they should have the actual keys that you need.

got a bestbuy close? go talk to the installers there. I know ive got about 50 pairs of pioneer keys laying around. Some i actually use, some have been grounded down for Mercedes/Volkswagen keys, some have been sharpened/soldered to make ninja stars.
