Subs with factory deck

I was wondering if any one had installed an amp and subs in their truck with factory deck? i am looking into it cause I have a pair of 10's from my old truck and I really miss the bass lol. I was wondering would it sound ****ty? Should I just wait and install them when i install a deck? Thanks again.

I installed a Bazooka tube with my stock deck. It sounds great! I still have my factory in dash 6 disc and my steering wheel controls. I also removed all the factory speakers and replaced them with JL audio and Infinity Kappa's. In order to do this, you will need a line level converter. It will splice in right behind the head unit. This will give you a hookup for your RCA cables. You can adjust your bass amount with the gain on your amp. I have mine set so if I want a little more boom, I can bump the bass on the head unit by 2 and it hits really hard. It is only an 8" driver with a 250W amp. In my Screw, I can bounce items right off the dash.

Hey Ive got three from my truck...I just put a Kenwood double din so I dont need them anymore. I was running a 4 channel speaker amp which required 2 converters and a separate sub amp with another converter spliced off the rear speaker lines. It didnt sound as good as my new HU but it sounded pretty damn good for not spending $600 on a head unit! Ill sell you my left over converters for $10 each plus shipping if your interested. I think they are like 20 or 30 new and theres nothing wrong with them (if anything can)
