Install help?

Hey guys!
I finally made my choice on a deck! A pioneer F900BT.
STOCK RADIO....
2004 - 6CD NO NAV, NO AUX PORT
SUBS HOOKED UP TO AN AMP USING A PERIPHEAL HIGH TO LOW

I'm a bit savy with stuff, but the dude I bought this from was a shady (expletive deleted)-head.

I ordered the metra harness so I can go power pioneer harness to the factory harness without have to cut the factory harness. I was going to twisted the appropriate wires (according to color) and crimp them off in a a white beenie (or dolphin) connector

Does anyone advise against this?

The next thing is... I've never really taken the deck out... some one else installed my subs so I've never see behind there. On the factory harness for pioneer there is (2) wires I wish to ground (bypass the dvd/nav motion lock).. the yellow/black mute and the parking brake... light green. utilizing a terminal ring pictured here....

Am I correct as to affix this to the body using a standard self tapping screw? Where is the best place to run these to for a god ground as the mute wire is short and I don;t want to affix random 16 gauge wire to it.

What do the front and rear speakers connections look like? Aren't they terminated in a weird connecting block like the power in the factory radio? The Pioneer harness has RCA INPUTS for front and rear speakers... any suggestions?

Lastly any last minute details for the external microphone and ipod connector locations? Any install details for those?

Does anyone know of a good 500W to 800W inverter that has decent cable length that can be hidden and mounted to the trim plastic, that is hella hella tiny? I only want 1 or two outlets.

Sorry guys... I'm just a novice at this at best but I want to do it myself and I'm a bit confused... any help would be appreciated.

Thank-you again,
-Louis
