I just installed a 08 Shaker 500 6 cd changer outfit in my 08 F 150. The radio seems to work OK but CD changer doesn't seem to work properly. It won't load the CDs. Is this a programing problem ? Can the Stealer program the radio in the truck ? And is there anything else I should know about the install ? Thanks !

 

i just bought one also and it wont let me insert any discs.

i also lost the use of the mini jack when you hit aux.

guess its time for an aftermarket stereo.

 

I don't know but last saturday I hit the load button and it worked fine. Loaded CD's and have been playin em for a week now. All is working with the exception of the bright / dim light on the radio and there is a speed control ( Volume up and down with speed of car ) that takes a module that the F 150 don't have. Took it to the stealer and they told me that the radio eather would work or it wouldn't. I'm happy for the moment !

 

Does anyone know of the compatability of the shaker 1000 head unit in the f 150 ? I posted a similar question in the head units section and had no replies so far.

 

My F150 uses the Speed Control just fine and its an 05.
