Control external amp

I have a 2008 Expedition but I'm guessing it will be similar to an F150?

It has the Radio/Navigation system, but did not have Sirius. I've added XM using an Axxess interface so it goes directly into the radio. However, I had to add a preamp to match the line in level of the terk XM unit to the other radio inputs. Is there any way to get power so that the preamp will stay on with the radio?

In other words, the radio stays on until the door is opened, even with the key off. Right now the preamp turns off with the key. My understanding is that the radio is CAN bus (???) so it isn't just a matter of finding the right wire. Is there an aftermarket aux power connector (or a way to do it directly)?

Rick
