Question IPOD conected today - Burning Smell

Yesterday I completed connecting a Brandmotion Ipod connection into my 2006 F150 with a single CD/AM/FM radio. The installation is simple and quck, about 60 minutes. The issue came up when I first started using the Ipod, I was getting a very strong electrical smell in the cab...you know, like a electrical motor that is being overworked. The smell has decreased but is still there. Anyone else have this experience?

I checked everyting thing that I did and can not isolate the source of the smell.

I'm not sure about that kit...but you shouldn't be drawing any sort of heavy current. Its probably just "new electronics" smell. It should go away in a few days. I wouldn't worry about it. If you're real concerned, pull the dash and double check your connections and surrounding wires.

Thanks for responding. The smell is much much less today. I called the manufacturer this morning, they had never had any issues similar to mine. The only thing they could suggest was looking very closely at the pins, making sure there were no defects causing a short.

Why are you selling your 2.5" leveling kit?
