Factory Head Unit removal for 2005 Screw

Hi guys just two quick questions:
First I was wondering if anyone could give me the breakdown as to how to get at the factory unit (What dash panels do I have to remove - are there screws or do they just clip in?)
Second I was wondering if there is a wiring harness located somewhere by the rear seat for a subwoofer? My truck did not come with the sub but was wondering if all trucks had this wired and where exactly it would be located.
I appreciate any input. My intention is to add an amp and sub to my existing factory unit. If anyone has done this I would love to hear how you did it and what components you used. I want the most bass possible without losing my jacks which limits me to one 8, 10, or 12. I would assume that the 12 would be the best, but considering the limited space in the box inclosure maybe the 10 is the best route - let me know how yours pounds!!!
I also have factory speakers and feel that the extra bass will drown out all of the highs. Anyone add any pillar mount tweeters? Or do I just upgrage to 3-way doors?
Thanks again,
Paul

ok... here is the skinny...

1. dont upgrade your speakers with the factory deck (unless you add a 4ch amp) if you are gonna blast your music. you will greatly under power them and blow them.

2. dont add just tweets... it will sound like ****

3. there is no place to just plug in RCAs behind the factory deck or behind the back seat. you will need a line out converter and tap into the speaker wires coming off the factory deck (but you will not get the full potential out of your amp and sub)

4. size sub depends on your music preference, not just space.
--get a 10 if you listen to rock / country
--get a 12 if you want boom for rap and techno, etc

5. you dont need to lose your jack. do a search, you will find many different ways to add 2 subs to your truck, or 1 well tuned sub powered correctly will be just as good. you want noise, so go with a single sub in a ported box.

6. the search button is your best friend.
--you can answer all your general questions using it

in conclusion, if you want big boom, you need big sub with big amp, you need aftermarket deck

if you dont want to lose your highs, add a 4ch amp and tune it to high pass (some people amp factory speakers) or just replace the speakers too
