NBS single din head install

I just wanted to post the progress on my hu install. I wanted a single din and hate the way single din dash kits look in my truck for one and two I hate people who steal *****. I removed the ashtray and went to work. It is still really rough and only the meat has been finished. I am having a local plastic place make me a beauty ring so the only thing that will be showing is the head unit. The bezel, dash kit and big ass screws will be behind the panel. I am going to attach the ashtray cover with magnets so it will pop on and off easily. I am also going to bolt this thing to the frame from behind so it can't be just "yanked" out.

Still a ways to go but you get the idea. All that is left is triming and making it pretty. Crappy thing is is that is has to come completly back out but what fun would it be if it was easy

All buttoned up

That looks really good! Don't leave that dollar in your cupholder, then maybe your stuff won't get stolen.
