radios with tv tuners

hey guys, ijust bought a double din headunit with a tv tuner on it. then i remembered "the big switch" next February. does this mean my TV tuner on my radio will be useless next year?

Yep along with my add-on Kenwood tuner, overhead monitos with tuners, the list goes on. There are digital tuners out there now. I'm hoping that kenwood makes one to replace mine.

hmmm you could get crazy and hook up a converter box in your truck...

I dont know about you KC, but we've had about a dozen or so people come into just our store alone and ask about it.

yea, I was asking around the other day, and one of my reps (pioneer) said they'd be flooding the market with converters, etc at the end of this fall for almost all of their units from the last two years, and he also mentioned most of the other "major brands" would be doing the same. there could even be some options out there for you right now tho, depending on brand

the search button on this forum just saved my ass. i was about to buy one of these tuners, then thought about February and figured i'd search to see if any of you guys were talking about it... i guess i'll be holding off until kenwood gets a digital tuner made.
